I think that I got this recipe from the Flylady website years ago. It is so easy and delicious for a simple meatless tomato sauce...tonight we will have it over spinach fettuccine.
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 clove garlic, pressed
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
2 Tbsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4-1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
Heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic and saute for a minute or two. Add tomatoes and all the spices. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Much cheaper than buying a jar of sauce and it tastes more "fresh" to me too!
